- Looking at where some of the animals would live around the world in their natural habitats
- Looking at endangered animals and why these animals are in danger and what we can do to help
During this theme we will have opportunities to role play both in the classroom and outside, we will have a jungle themed den for the children to explore. We will spend lots of time getting creative within this theme with observational drawings, coffee art, DT models, paintings and collage.

This summer term will be also be beginning to prepare the children for their transition to year one so we will be will be having high expectations and will still be constantly revisiting and reviewing our school values and how they link to these high expectations and behaviour in school.
We cover so much week in week out that it is very difficult to mention every area or objective for all of our areas learning. Therefore, Miss Cotterell and Mrs Neal will keep you updated weekly via TAPESTRY with specific details of what we have been focusing on in our classroom for maths, literacy, phonics, understanding the world, expressive arts and design or RE etc so that you know what you can work on with your child at home.
